“Even your trees were different then:
They spoke to your clouds
In strange whispers
Conspiratorial”

Myisi was my second theatre project with Litha Efthymiou after 2014’s Parting. Another multi-disciplinary performance, the show explores themes of initiation and assimilation of migrants into foreign cultures.

I designed a three-screen video installation and created a six minute sequence blending real landscapes with abstract animation, conveying the movements of huge numbers of people and their arrival in a new, unfamiliar world. I then mixed the sequence live during the show.

Myisi was performed during Tete a Tete Opera Festival on 26 July 2015, at New Diorama Theatre in London.
